Natural Environment

During certain sessions children will be taken to The Woodland to have a wider experience of the natural environment and enhanced Forest School

Forest School

Activities include fire lighting, whittling, den making, exploring the natural environment, preparing & cooking recipes, tool making and more

Learning Journey

Your child will have their own Learning Journey books which will include evidence of the activities that they complete during each session

Hygge & Wanderlust

Hyyge focuses on having a happier and more simple life. Using elements of warmth, cosiness and nature to make the most of every day of the year. The Wanderlust Nature Study is designed to create a deeper connection with nature.

Daily Diary

Your child will have their own Daily Diary which will briefly explain what they have done during the session, what food they have had, nappy changes and any other information that we need to share with parents & carers

Key Person

Each child has their own Key Person allocated to them. The Key Person is responsible for all of the child's Learning & Development and will hold regular meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress.

What do I need to pack for my child?

We spend the majority of our time outdoors all year round so please ensure your child is dressed in plenty of layers and hat, gloves and scarf for the winter months, a pair of wellies, a pair of indoor shoes, a warm coat and a spare set of clothes. For the summer months please bring sun cream and a sun hat clearly labelled with your child's name.

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Yes, we do provide hot meals and snacks throughout the day from our onsite cook, if you would like your child to have hot meals and snacks, please ask when registering. Alternatively, you can bring a packed lunch for your child.

Can I access government funding for Rascals Natural Learning?

Yes, for children aged 2 years upwards, you can access government funding.

Can my child come to Rascals Natural Learning in half terms and schoold holidays?

Yes, we're open all year round and provide the option of two holiday clubs, too.

Can my older child attend Rascals Natural Learning during half terms and school holiday

Yes, please ensure that you book them in with plenty of notice. We accept children up to the age of 12.

Do you provide transport?

Yes, we provide a free shuttle which runs from our sister setting, Rascals Keelby and is also available to collect children in surrounding villages. If you need transport please ensure this is pre booked with our team.
